Sleeping naked can be very comfortable. So is rarely wearing underwear. In his comic m@b, Matt Blackett depicts bachelor life at its best and worst with his self-titled character. The eighth installment of his series defines an essential element to single living, appropriately titled, I hardly wear underwear anymore.' Blackett's style of writing is the epitome of scenarios without a punch line, but sometimes with a punch to the face. The fact that the panels are without the predictable kicker is what makes the stories funny. I suspect the creator jots down every obscure event that happens to him no matter how trivial the crummy weather or how traumatic a doctor's checkup is ("Drop 'em and let's get this over with"). The product of m@b is an illustrated diary of random thoughts and last minute actions. Surely many will emphasize with the the day-to-day routine of deciding which tie to wear or which kind of bread to toast. Then there are the situations when you paid the rent, then found your cheque in the sealed envelope exactly where you left it. Blackett magnifies this with his character: "I sat on the porch last night and watched a thunder and lightning storm  it felt good to be humbled by nature...until I saw my livingroom flooded." So Matt feels liberated in hardly wearing underwear anymore...well, as long as I don't see your ass peeking out the next time I'm shopping for groceries, I'm happy.
