Matthew Blackett is the cartoonist behind m@b. The comic has appeared in such magazines as Rosco, Soma, Pi, Chart, Neksis, Verbicide, eye, This, Kiss Machine, sceneandheard.ca and Broken Pencil. On the side, Matt draws political cartoons and another stupid comic called Nachos For Sven. Before m@b, Matt drew a comic called Fifty More Pounds for the Humber College's Et Cetera and Carleton University's The Resin. Matt wrote and drew numerous comics during his formative years as a teenager and pre-teen, but washroom stalls don't really count. When not hunched over a drawing table, Matt passes his days in Toronto as a graphic designer and freelance digital artist. Matt also pretends to be a photographer, having displayed his work from the April 2001 Summit of Americas protest in Quebec City as a part of Toronto's 2001 photo festival Contact.
